In January, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office arrested Brandon Taylor, 29, for aggravated rape and aggravated kidnapping.
According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, Taylor allegedly kidnapped a 17-year-old girl, forced her into a car and forced her to perform sex acts in the parking lot of the motel.
The victim told authorities that Taylor told her that he would “beat up” her and take her home to Tennessee.
Taylor was arrested on Tuesday and charged with aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, sexual battery, and tampering with evidence.
He has been held in Williamson County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
“We are thankful to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for taking this case, and the investigation into the kidnapping of a young girl, seriously,” Williamson County Attorney Joe Lott said in a statement.
“We also hope this case is a wake-up call to anyone who has taken advantage of the vulnerability of children to sexually abuse.”
The sheriff’s department said the investigation is ongoing.
The Tennessee Bureau for Investigation did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
