The Audi Hoffmans Estate Park (AEGP) in Edinburgh has been sold to AudiHoffman for a reported £2 million.
The sale is a significant milestone in the development of AEGP, which has attracted an estimated 10 million visitors a year since it opened in 2008.
It is the first significant acquisition by AudiHofmans, which is owned by the family of former Irish Prime Minister Bertie Ahern.
Its new owner has not yet been announced, but its owners have pledged to reinvest a further £2.7 million into the estate.
The Audi Hofmans Estate, which lies just west of the city centre and includes two hotels, was set up in the late 1980s by a former British diplomat, Ian Hoffshaw, and his wife Anne.
The property includes a hotel and two residences, the Hoffman Estate Hotel and the Audi Hölfmans Estate Hotel.
The hotel, which was designed by Frank Gehry, is a five-star boutique hotel, while the hotel and residences are designed by architect Simon Hove.
